Monica Portis is the owner and director of Advocare Adult Day Center. She has been an Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years, and holds 25 years of experience in the medical field. Monica started out as a nursing assistant and work in long term care facilities. That is where her love for ther geriatric community emerged. From there she wanted to provide a safe and caring environment that would help seniors thrive.
The CEO has also acquired three certificates to better equip her in becoming a business owner and entrepreneur. She received a Business Development and Entrepreneurship in 2022. Human Resources Management in 2023 and Digital Marketing in 2024; all from Colorado Tech University. The knowledge she has obtained in healthcare field and education; that will be a beneficial asset to the organization.
